The Sacrament of Baptism is all about belonging. It is the means through which we become members of the mystical Body of Christ. Through baptism we belong to Christ and his Church, affirmed as children of God and heirs to His promises. Baptism is about new life, a new way of living, and covenanting with God to “grow into the full stature of Christ.”
The sacrament of baptism is scheduled for appropriate times of the year such as Easter and Pentecost which focuses on new life and new beginnings. Baptism is open to infants and adults and requires sponsors/Godparents. Godparents must be baptized and committed Christians. Candidates for baptism and/or their parents are expected to be regular participants in the faith of the Christian Community. Those interested in the Sacrament of Baptism are asked to contact the parish at least 3 months in advance of the desired date.
