We all need companionship in our journey through life and there is no better place to be then to be in the company of those who share your longing, the Church. If you are looking for a church where a stranger meets a friend and a sinner meets God, then St. Thomas’ is the place to be. The moment you walk through the door you will be greeted with open arms, warmth and love.
Worship is our primary response to God as Christians. It is not a matter of ‘going to church’ but rather ‘being the church.’ When the bells toll on Sunday morning they summon the church to come together. Worship is where the art of love is practiced. It is the fulfillment of the two great commandments, to ‘love God and neighbour.’ It is where the older more seasoned Christians mentor those just beginning their journey. It is where parents and adults role model for children. It is where the ‘whole people of God’ give expression to their faith as they pray together, sing praises together, and partake of the sacraments.
Following the worship many continue their fellowship as they meet in the Parish Hall and enjoy a snack together. This is catch up time where we share our story, talk about the sermon, and ask questions. One regular feature of St. Thomas’ after-church fellowship is our monthly ‘Parish Gatherings.’ Usually a light lunch is provided followed by some educational event relevant to our Christian journey. For these gatherings you will need to be early in order to secure a seat at a table.
To belong is to participate; to be a part of. We invite you to come and join us
