“Holy Matrimony… is an honourable estate, instituted by God” (BCP, pg. 564). It “is a gift of God and a means of His grace, in which man and woman become one flesh. It is God’s purpose that, as husband and wife give themselves to each other in love, they shall grow together and be united in that love, as Christ is united with his Church” (BAS, pg. 528). In the Anglican tradition, marriage is a sacrament and couples wanting to be married in the Church understand that they are seeking a Christian marriage. The ceremony is all encompassing with God’s Word, prayer and sacred music. The historic church of St. Thomas’ is a beautiful building for a wedding. We invite you to come and have a look. If you are interested in having your wedding celebrated at St. Thomas’ please contact the parish office at least six months before the desired date.
